This thing makes my closet so much sleeker! Things to know when buying and setting it up:Do not set on carpet. The bottom drawer will stick out due to step button functionality. Must be on a totally flat surface. There are little slits that may need to have a knife taken to them so they are fully open where the lid folds up. If you dont do this, the lid will not latch properly and will not stay up.Also, I can't seem to figure out where the scoop cup is supposed to hang.Otherwise, this thing I great!Purchased to use as a recycling station in the kitchen. Works great for that purpose. I do not use the lids as they interfere with frequent emptying of the drawers. Drawers do not stay open unless lids are used. Would be 5 stars if drawers stayed open whether lids are used or not.I absolutely love being able to have 2 different kinds of dog food in one convenient place. This looks nice in my kitchen, it's the perfect size. Only downfall I personally have is the lids to each one will not stay up while I scoop my food out. Even with that downfall I am still very pleases with this product and would buy it again . It was exactly what I was looking for . It is worth the money and looks nice. It was very easy to put together.I liked how easy and straight-forward the tower was to assemble.Finished unpacking to final assembly in less than 10 minutes; no tools required. Pieces snap together. Read the instructions first. Once snapped together the manufacturer says the parts can't be disassembled! The two storage bins have plenty of capacity for storing treats, food and pet gear. I'm using mine for treats only. The bottom bin has a maximum weight storage of 8.8 pounds per the manufacturer.I like the tower's slim profile. In my small apartment, the tower fit nicely by my front door.Dislikes? The top lid to the bin, while it has a good fit when closed, is engineered poorly. You'll need one hand to open the top bin (bottom bin smartly has a foot pedal), another hand to open the lid, and a THIRD hand (?) to remove the bin's contents. LOL! The lids should snap in permanently and have some sort of brake that keeps them open as you need. The tower comes with two hooks. It should come with four hooks. Each side of the tower, left and right, has two places, top and bottom, where you can snap in the hooks. Why can't I use all four hook spaces if I want? The 'hooks' also are not wide enough to hang much of anything. Soon after I took the picture of Hazel's choker collar hanging from the hook it fell down. I wouldn't even call them decent hooks. Maybe you could hang a very thin leash. The manufacturer says the hooks have a maximum weight capacity of 4.4 pounds per hook. It would be easy enough for an enterprising person to install plastic hook hangers you could buy from Home Depot with a cordless drill in minutes.I love this setup. I have a cat and a dog and I keep their food in the pantry. Up until I bought this, I was storing their very-expensive food in another animal food storage container; the stackable IRIS plastic dog/cat containers. I’ve always gotten very frustrated with them for 2 reasons: 1. I had to move the cat food container (the smaller stackable) every time I fed the dog. This led to constant tipping. The tipping was never an issue when the bin was closed, but quite frequently, after it was tipped, I would set it back on the dog food container and, when I opened it (yes it was level) the cats kibbles would scatter all over the floor. Apparently, the kibbles were small enough to collect in the seams of the container. And 2. The containers felt and looked extremely cheap and flimsy. I finally committed to finding a better setup.I am so glad that I finally paid the wxtra and purchased the Richell. Although it is also made of plastic and lives in the pantry, it doesn’t look cheap. Before I purchased it, I saw that multiple people had commented on the fact that the interior lid will not stay open. IF you open the drawer all of the way, you can pop the internal lid open with no trouble - so to me, it’s a non-issue. It is a little smaller than I would like, but I just keep the rest of the animals food sealed in a storage area and add it when I need to. I LOVE the setup because , since I don’t have to move the smaller container any longer, I am able to put both the dog and cat bowl on top or the storage unit and prepare the food. Most important: NO MORE KIBBLES on the floor in the pantry.I haven’t used the hooks on the side, nor have I mounted the unit. I cannot speak to either of these things.I have now had storage tower for over 6 months. It no longer stays open when you click the cover. The bins themselves are no longer sturdy. I have a large dog and wanted something for those huge bags of food. This doesn’t do the job well.Bought this storage container because even though we only have 1 cat & 1 dog, we usually purchase larger size bags of food, so we needed something to be able you store it but also have easy access. The pull out drawers each have a lid that’s supposed to be able to stay in place when you open it and pop it into place, but ours doesn’t stay open. So we have to hold it open to scoop out the food. We have you hold the drawer open while also lifting up the lid to scoop out the food at the same time. Otherwise, it’s a nice sturdy food container. We bought this to store my son’s rabbit’s food and hay. One of the containers won’t stay open in the thing so he has to take it out to open it. Very frustrating since this was suppose to make his life easier. The quality of it for $100 seems off to me…I expected better. But I wouldn’t have as much of an issue with it if it actually did what it was supposed to do.No me gusto el hecho de que para servir las croquetas la compuerta no se detiene y hay que sujetarla con una mano, quedandote unicamente una mano para levantar la tapa y servir las croquetas, porque la tapa a veces se detiene y a veces no.It looks great, I’m using it for popcorn kernels. My only issue is that with a lot of weight (compartments full) it does become a little wobbly. The foot petal only opens the bottom drawer not the top. I assumed since it was for dog food it would be more or less air tight but it is definitely not. And the mechanism that is supposed to hold the drawer open and the lid up while you’re scooping stopped working after 6 uses. Much better than what I had before but not great for how much it cost.Great design but the plastic they used in the fabrication is too light weight. If the drawers are full its ok but without and food /low food, the drawers come out as they are too light weight to stay in place. The drawers are also deceivingly small. We sent ours back right after assembly. THey need to make this out of a more robust material!I really like the item but my issue is that the bottom drawer doesn't close properly. I would like to return the one that I received and get another one. The only way it seems I can do that is to process a return for the first one and re-order again, is this correct? I haven't processed the return yet as I wanted to see with you if it can only be replaced. Please let me know. If I don't hear back, I will start the return process.Es muy pequeño y dificil para sacar elAlimento si fuera grande y las tapas de cada contenedor de diferente diseño estaría súper bonito
